If it's the
cook's night off and you want a family-friendly meal out, there
is a truly cosmopolitan feel to food in Caleta.
All tastes are catered for – everything from Chinese to Portuguese
and Greek to Sri
Lankan – not forgetting Spanish of course. Do try the Canarian
potatoes.
There are a
few restaurants in the Montecastillo Centre and a huge variety of eating
places, bars and shops in the resort centre - a short walk from the villa.

The newly
built Centro Atlantico is about 20 minutes walk away and includes a
variety of upmarket shops, restaurants overlooking the sea, a large
supermarket, multiplex cinema and bowling alley. A taxi back home
with the shopping will only cost around €3.
Some of our visitors have recommended restaurants in the
Visitors' Book - but
you are sure to find your own special places during your holiday.
Prices range
from around 8 - 15 Euros for a main course so there is something to suit
everyone's pocket.
If you
want to forget about the diet (and the cholesterol) for a week or two you
could treat yourself to a full English breakfast too, either just along the
road at the Montecastillo Centre or at one of the restaurants in the
resort centre - the usual cost is around 5 Euros or
less.
