Booking Conditions
1. The signing of the booking
form constitutes acceptance of these conditions by the client.
2. The signature of the lead
person named on the booking form constitutes acceptance of these conditions by all members of the
party.
3. As a general rule, bookings
for 'single sex' groups will not be accepted unless by prior arrangement with the owners.
4. If the client does not pay
the balance due at the prescribed time, the owners reserve the right to cancel
the booking and to retain the deposit.
5. The owners accept no
responsibility for, and shall not be liable in respect of, loss, damage or
changes caused by force majeure events (eg strikes, floods, fire, closure of
airports, weather conditions) or any other event beyond their control.
6. The accommodation is booked
exclusively for the persons named on the Booking Form. No other persons
may use the accommodation without written permission of the owners.
7. The owners do not accept
liability for the loss of main services such as electricity or water supplies,
nor the consequences of the actions or omissions of persons who may control the
supply of main services.
8. The owners accept no
responsibility for the loss or theft of clients' property at any time or in any
place. Clients are responsible for their own "all risks" insurance and
must have appropriate travel/holiday insurance in force for the period of the
trip.
9. The
free transport from the airport and
optional return transfers are provided on an informal basis as a service to
clients. In the unlikely event of an accident, no claims against the
driver or owners can be entered into.
10. As
the transport service also operates on behalf of other properties, it is offered
on a first come, first served basis.
11.
Parties of more than 4 guests will be taken to/from the airport in two vehicles
- this is reflected in the price of the return trips.
12. In
the unlikely event that circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the
owners necessitate the cancellation of the holiday arrangements, the owners
reserve the right to cancel the booking at any time. If a booking is
cancelled then the owners will only be liable to refund monies already paid by
the client. However, every effort will be made to offer alternative
arrangements with the mutual agreement of the client.
13. Prices may be subject to change
at any time. However, the charges agreed at the time of the provisional booking will constitute the final cost payable.
14. If
payment is made in any currency other than £ Sterling, the exchange rate will be
mutually agreed at the time of the provisional booking and will be applied to
the deposit, balance of rental costs and breakages deposit refund when
appropriate.
15. Alterations to the reserved
holiday dates may only be made with the prior written agreement of the owners and this
may incur an additional charge.
Arrival/Departure Times
In
order to ensure that the villa is clean and ready for your arrival and for the
party following you, we specify that the rental begins at 4.00 pm on the arrival
date and ends at 10.00 am on the departure date. However, if these times
do not coincide with your flight times, please let us know as some flexibility
may be possible.
The Spa
Safety
The spa has
been provided for the enjoyment of our guests. We have installed a
handrail and steps for their safety but all guests are reminded that tiles and
other surfaces can become slippery when wet.
Care must be
taken when getting in or out of the spa or when walking around in its vicinity,
especially with bare feet. Children of all ages must be supervised
by an adult. In addition, we have supplied plastic glasses which must be
used at all times outside the house. Guests are reminded that they
are responsible for their own safety.
Maintenance
In order to
keep the spa functioning correctly, our property managers have to make regular
visits to check the condition of the water and make any necessary adjustments.
This will have to be done during your holiday, but they will be as unobtrusive as
possible.
If they have
to carry out any maintenance which, in their opinion, has been necessitated by
customer action (for example, damage to jets and/or jet covers, addition of any substance to the water, excessive
use of sun oil, 'foreign bodies' in the spa, etc) the cost of such call outs, labour and
any parts required will be deducted from the breakages deposit.
Chemicals for
water balancing will have been added prior to your arrival. In order for
them to be fully circulated throughout the spa, we suggest that you do not use
the spa for at least 2 hours after your arrival.
Deposits
Provisional
bookings may be made by telephone or e-mail and will be held for seven days
pending receipt of the booking deposit. The booking will be considered as
confirmed on receipt of the completed Booking Form and the deposit of
£50.
In addition,
a breakages deposit of £100 is payable with the balance of the rental. This sum will be refunded in full when we receive a satisfactory
report from our property managers at the end of your holiday, along with the
safe return of the keys. The cost of
any replacement items, repairs and/or disproportionate cleaning will be deducted from the deposit as
necessary. Please note that our property managers are not expected to do
washing up at the end of your holiday.

Balance
of Rental
The balance of the rental (plus breakages deposit) is payable 8 weeks before
arrival. For holidays beginning within 8 weeks of booking, the full rental
cost
(plus breakages deposit) will be payable at the time of booking.
Cancellation by Client
If
the outstanding amount due is not paid 8 weeks prior to departure, we reserve
the right to cancel the booking in which case the deposit is forfeit.
Additionally, if the booking is cancelled by the client, the
following charges will apply:
More than 8
weeks - deposit only
Between 4 and
8 weeks - 50% of the total cost of the booking
Between 2 and
4 weeks - 75% of the total cost of the booking
Less than 2
weeks - 100% of the total cost of the booking
Insurance
As the villa has liability insurance
only, it is essential that all guests have appropriate travel/holiday insurance.
Privacy Statement
No details of clients' names,
postal or email addresses will be passed to a third party without the prior
consent of the client. All text on the Visitors' Comments page has been
published with the prior permission of the writer. If at any time you wish us to delete your details
from our database, please send an email to: enquiries@casa-mariposa.co.uk
Building Work
Building Work is
ongoing in Fuerteventura and this is obviously not under our control.
While we are not aware of any in the immediate vicinity of Casa Mariposa that will affect you, there
is building in the outskirts of the resort and it is possible that you will encounter some during
your holiday.
